It’s northern Illinois. It’s winter. Expect snow. We were spoiled by a few mild winters so the last couple of years it seems as if people react as cartoonist Gary Varvel depicts in the cartoon below. Varvel’s from Indiana so he’s not that far away.
I’m sure people in Michigan and Minnesota laugh when they see all the angst we have over a few inches of snow. Just like we laugh when folks in southern states panic over and inch or so.
Surviving winter is not rocket science. Bundle up, drive a bit slower and watch out for those who act as if they’ve never seen a snowflake.
