After the first quarter, many investors were left wondering if they should just cash out and wait for things to improve. Savant has always held the position that patience is the best strategy and that attempting to time the market is a very risky proposition. Indeed, an investor who sold his stocks at the end of March would be very disappointed today knowing that he missed out on a very profitable month in April.Â
A recent Savant study looked at the last four bear markets since 1973 and found that it is potentially very costly to miss the rewards of the market’s recovery.
