The sun will come out tomorrow
April 9th, 2008 at 01:33pm Chuck Sweeny
As I write this at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday, oil has hit $112 a barrel, and American Airlines has suspended 1,000 more flights to check the safety of its fleet of MD-80 jets. Not a great time to be in the airline business, I reckon.
Also, Alan Greenspan, former chairman of the Federal Resserve System, says the U.S. is in a recession, and The Guardian says the economic situation here is the worst it’s been since the Great Depression.
Or maybe that’s not true. Maybe the sun will come out tomorrow. Maybe a giant dog will run across my computer screen singing “Everything’s beautiful, in its own way.”
Maybe. But why do I get the feeling that victory gardens are about to become popular again?

Chuckster - strangest thing just happened and I thought of it after reading your entry. I called up the RRS home page…and a dog DID stroll across my computer screen! Only…it wasn’t singing. It was trying to sell me a house. Is that a sign the sun is coming out?
