Meet Sarah Palin, the earmark queen. Oops, McCain’s agin earmarks

Wow, this is going to be one schizty Republican ticket. McCain is against ANWR drilling, Sarah Palin is for it. McCain has never asked for an earmark for Arizona and wants to eliminate all of them; Sarah  Palin secured $27 million for the town of Wasilla, Alaska when she mayor, reports The Washington Post. “There was $500,000 for a youth shelter, $1.9 million for a transportation hub, $900,000 for sewer repairs, and $15 million for a rail project — all intended to benefit Palin’s town, Wasilla, located about 45 miles north of Anchorage.

Wow, that’s pretty good for a town of under 9,000 people. Betcha Mayor Excellence Everywhere couldn’t do that good for Rockford, eh? In fact, who ever heard of a mayor in Illinois actually securing a federal earmark, other than Mayor Daley.
