Where I discovered Palin’s “Alaska First, Alaska Always” separatist party connection

September 2nd, 2008 at 01:16pm Chuck Sweeny

Some anoymous (aren’t they all?) blogger wants to know where I discovered that the Palins were members in the 1990s of the Alaskan Indepence Party. I guess he/she thinks I made the whole thing up. No. I don’t make stuff up, and I’m not hiding behind anonymity like most people who post here. You all know who I am, and how to reach me.

Here’s where I read about Sarah’s past connection to the AIP: The New York Times, the Anchorage Daily News, CBS, ABC, The Guardian and The Daily Telegraph.

You may also watch Palin’s cheery welcoming and affirming video message to the Alaskan Independence Party’s 2008 convention here:

No YOU didn’t make it up

but you Did Not Vet it…

Here’s documentation proving that Palin has always voted Republican…if she had switched parties, it would have been reflected

Your attacks on Governor Palin are bordering on sexism…start asking questions about why Obama lies about his relationship to terrorists and why he lies about his relationship to convicted felons

    that would be Journalism…

    Unc,

No one suggested Palin has “switched” parties, just that she is avidly involved in a fringe group that wants Alaska to secede.

But nice try at switching the topic to bogus Obama crapola. The story is really about how McCain made a drastically rash decision in choosing her without looking into her past. He rushed into picking Palin in a desparate effort to pander to women voters, at the expense of good judgment. Some maverick…

As far as I know just because someone is registered as a Repub. doesn’t mean they always voted Repub. In local primaries if you ask for a Dem. or Repub. ballot it is recorded anybody who knows anything about the American democracy knows that your vote in regular elections are not recorded on your voter registration. The only people who would know who you vote for in the Presidential election would be the Cheney Secret Police and No warrant Wiretap Group.

Journalism?….HERE?….Why do I have to read the Rock River Times to be informed of Rockford city counsel meetings and activities. The RRS has next to nothing to report following the meetings but the RRT has detailed articles nearly every week, and its free! Journalism at the RRS seems to consist of factless opinions, excercises in creative writing and regurgitation of AP wire news stories. Journalism here….not likely.

Dear rkfd-ide-o: Isn’t it great that you have the freedom to choose the newspaper you wish to read? And isn’t it great that you have the freedom to be snarky without anybody knowing your identity?
    That’s s what I love about America! You’re a great American!
