Socialist takeover hits Detroit. Barack and McCain say, ‘We’re down with it.’

The triumphal march of socialism continues unabated, as the People’s Republic of America government continues to nationalize the private sector.
The latest evidence? The government is on the verge of giving Detroit’s Big Three a $25 billion in loan guarantees to allow the Big three to retool to make cars that can compete with Japanese and Korean cars. Both Barack Obama and John McCain are supportive, the New York Times says. Michigan’s a swing state, and the economy there is tanking. Remember in the primaries when McCain said those vanishing auto factory jobs weren’t coming back? He flip-flopped.

You would think that more democrats would love the Bush administration for doing the up front leg work of their social utopia framework. Just think of it, at the current direction, the feds soon will have full control and ownership of finanical institutions, home mortgages, the auto industry, and insurance companies.
Soon to come, hospitals and health care, some direct ownership of homes that are in foreclosure/distress, expansion of funding failed public schools and perhaps now colleges and universities, airlines?, and probably a whole lot more.
Unbelievable and desprately sad. This is America, inherent risk and subsequent failure is inevitable and ultimately the govenor that keeps many from making unwise choices. Stopgaps to remove the risk of failure and pain only ultimately serve to raise the stakes even further and postpone the pain for a short time.
