I couldn’t get the Harlem Township Republican news release to attach to the previous posting, but here it is:

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2009
HARLEM TOWNSHIP REPUBLICAN CAUCUS ELECTS TOWNSHIP NOMINEES
Republicans living in Harlem Township elected their nominees for Harlem Township Offices at a caucus held Tuesday, Feb. 13, at the Loves Park City Hall community room. Republican candidates in the April 7 general election for Harlem Township are:
· Harlem Township Supervisor – Jerry Lemmons
· Highway Commissioner – Glenn “Bud” Wilkins
· Clerk – Dawn Cacioppi
· Trustees – John Cabello, Luke Meyer, Bob Mullins, Carlos Torres
Lemmons, a resident of Machesney Park, is a general contractor and is in his second term as a Machesney Park Village Trustee. Wilkins, a resident of Loves Park, is a former County Board member who previously served as Harlem Township Highway Commissioner in the late 90’s. Cacioppi has spent her career in human resource management and currently serves as human resource manager for a local firm.
The four trustee candidates all are residents of Machesney Park. Cabello is a detective with the Rockford Police Department; Meyer owns Rascal’s Bar & Grill and previously owned and operated Luke’s Homes and Forest Hills Village in Loves Park. Mullins, a former controller and chief financial officer of local manufacturing firms currently is the Machesney Park director of Administration & Finance. Torres is self-employed and owns Old School Mechanics, a firm that specializes in pipe fitting and metal fabrication systems.
The candidates all pledge to streamline Township government and make it more efficient and relevant to the taxpayers of Harlem Township.

If this is the same Dawn Cacioppoi I’ve heard about, you might need and “oversight committee”. I think the firm she works for is under investigation for illegal employment practices.
