Obama needs to get his groove back, and fast.

Barack Obama won the presidency by organizing the best presidential campaign in history, building an e-mail list of 13 million people and raising $1 billion, much of it from small contributors.
Throughout the nearly two years of campaigning, Obama’s campaign manager David Plouffe perfected the technique of using the new electronics - based personal media such as You Tube to send out Obama’s message over the heads of the traditional media. The other candidates never knew what hit them.
That’s why I’m flabbergasted to see the dreadful mistakes being made by the new Obama White House. The president’s stimulus package was hamstrung from the get-go by Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the House, who is responsible for inserting all sorts of Democratic special-interest projects into the plan. She tried to defend money for contraception devices by saying it reduces costs to state and local governments because if people use contraceptives, there will be fewer people.
Obama also lost the momentum when his people didn’t do their homework on three high level appointees who didn’t pay their taxes, including Tim Geithner, who now heads the Treasurry department, and hence, the IRS. Tom Daschle thankfully withdrew his nomination to be secretary of health and human services; he owed $134,000 in back taxes for among other things, failing to report as income a limo and chauffeur.
And, Obama has been out-Foxed by the Republican attack machine, allowing their message of tax cuts to trump his government spending plan.
Obama needs to get back on-message, and pronto, if he wants to get the stimulus plan passed . He’d better dust off that campaign organization and start going over the heads of both the mainstream liberal media and the mainstream conservative media.
