Block wants Morrissey to cut two from mayor’s budget; only $7.3 million in cuts to go

Doug Block, a Democratic candidate for Rockford mayor who also is the labor representative of the police union, the PB&PA, recommended some budget cuts as the city confronts a $7.5 million hole in next year’s budget. He has suggested the mayor cut two administrators. With benefits, that gets us maybe $200,000.
Only $7.3 million to go. I’ll be interested to see where Mr. Block finds the other cuts. Guess which department will be spared?
