Is Burris fit for the job of senator?

U.S. Senator Roland Burris, D-Blago, is going around the state on a “listening tour” to hear from the people about their concerns. Here’s my concern: If was so hard for him to remember to tell the Illinois House impeachment committee that he talked THREE times with Rod’s brother Robert Blagojevich about the Senate job, is he really fit for the Senate job?
I sure hope Burris doesnt’ run for election in 2010. I don’t call for him to resign, but he at least ought to have the wits about him to stand down and call it a day. He can still carve “U.S. Senator” on the elaborate tombstone/monument he’s had constructed for his remains.
