Union Pacific Railway, which just a few years ago opened its Global III intermodal yard in Rochelle, is building a fourth Chicagoland intermodal facility, to be up and running in 2010.
The Joliet facility will be able to handle 500,000 ocean-going containers and vastly increase the railroad’s intermodal capacity from Texas.
