Area jobless rate doesn’t reflect all who are out of work

An article in today’s Rockford Register Star by Sean Driscoll, “Area jobless rate lowest in 3 years,” pointed out that the region’s unemployment rate in Winnebago and Boone Counties had decreased to 10.7 percent in April, or 17,679 people. RVC Karl Jacobs Center for Science and Math opens its doors

The ribbon cutting for the Karl J. Jacobs Center for Science and Math was conducted Tuesday in the Peter Kostantacos lobby next to the three story pendulum suspended from the ceiling, swinging across its base on the Hamilton Sundstrand ground floor with Math labs and classrooms, study and lounge spaces with offices.
