Ask not what your government can do for you – there is a limit

The government has no business trying to run entitlement programs such as Obamacare – no business acumen whatsoever. Social Security is going bankrupt. As reported in 2010 in the New York Times, the program was already paying out more money than it had coming in (6 years before it was predicted to happen) with only IOUs in its so-called trust fund. Medicare Hospital Insurance Trust Fund expenditures have exceeded income annually since 2008 and are projected to continue doing so under current law in all future years. It could go bankrupt...

Feds post 27,000 high-paying, non-essential jobs since sequestration!

What happened to all the furloughs that were supposed to result from the forced sequestration and 100’s of billions in cuts over the next decade? Well, the government is sure on a hiring binge for lower priority jobs even with sequestration. Nothing stands in the way of making “big” government bigger. The cuts seem to be in the areas that primarily focus on the American people, thereby adding emphasis to the plea that government needs more money to provide services.  The furloughs are in areas like White House tours,...

Bernanke’s Quantitative Easing bolsters Obama’s failing economy

The Federal Reserve has been distorting the economy for years by propping up the failing Obama economy, creating money out of thin air at a rate of almost 3 billion dollars a day – $85B a month with Quantitative Easing to buy treasuries and other securities. During the last 12 months, over $1.02 trillion new dollars has been printed by the Fed’s Quantitative Easing to stimulate the economy – 1.9 million new jobs were created during that time equating to about $536,000 per job. Obviously the Fed has the securities but the...

Let’s look at some facts concerning Sequestration

I’m sure you have seen and heard the parade of public officials, especially the president, predicting doom and gloom if the $85B budget “sequester” begins on March 1. Both sides of the aisle apparently want us to forget that this is a problem of Washington’s own making – spending more than they have to spend and wanting taxpayers to kick in the difference. Here are some pertinent facts of sequestration you will seldom see or hear: The debate between the Republicans and Democrats always centers on less spending...

President’s Sequestration warnings are an Obamanation!

President Obama was for Sequestration before he was against it. Sequestration will result in federal spending cuts that Obama forced Republicans to put on the table before he would bargain with them on the debt ceiling, and now he is trying to blame the cuts on them. According to the Washington Post Fact Check, White House national economic council director Gene Sperling proposed the idea of a compulsory trigger, calling it an automatic sequester. House Majority Leader John Boehner was “nervous” about using it as a budget tool....

Debt limit raised, now Obama trying to stop Sequestration

Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has refused to produce a budget in over three years. Now, Obama has missed his legally mandated deadline to submit a budget proposal to Congress on the first Monday in February, for the fourth time in five years. Fiduciary responsibility doesn’t seem to be in this administration’s vocabulary. While not producing a budget again this year, despite having months to prepare it, the president is playing sequestration politics in calling for Congress to stop the automatic budget cuts...
