1. Looking back, I did not state my sentence correctly. MBDA would not be a bigger step forward vs Southwest, JetBlue, etc. A step forward but not a bigger step forward. Ditto for the Kenny Tours charters to Ireland.

2. Yes

You're right: Hooters Air left town because it had overall problems with its airline business model, not because the route didn't perform. Same thing happened with TMA. Airport officials say those "came and went" airlines proved those routes, and that's why we have Allegiant and United. They would love if Myrtle Beach Direct Air joined them.

Two questions:

1. I'm interested why you seem to be saying Myrtle Beach Direct Air would be a bigger step forward for the airport than having a low-cost carrier here.

2. Are you the Rockford Blogger who posts on the Worcester airport blog?

Thanks for reading and posting!

When Hooters Air flew the route previously, it is my understanding that the load factors were good. While it would be nice to see a low cost carrier like Southwest, JetBlue, AirTran, or ATA enter the RFD market, I think it would be yet another step forward if Myrtle Beach Direct Air started service as well. Hopefully we will see them soon.
