So the feds say gas prices will keep going up until November. The markets oblige (numbers courtesy of AAA’s fuelgaugereport.com):

Gasoline: Rockford increased more than two cents to a record $4.19 a gallon. We’re third in the state in gas prices. The state average increased a cent to a record $4.23 a gallon. The national average remained at a record $4.11. Illinois has the ninth-highest gas prices in the nation.

Diesel: Rockford increased almost two cents today to $4.83, less than four cents below the record set in May. We have the fourth-highest diesel prices in the state. The state average increased a fraction of a cent to stay at a record $4.83 a gallon. The national average increased almost a cent to stay at a record $4.81 a gallon. Illinois is tied with the 19th-highest prices in the country (including the District of Columbia).
