Candorville jabs at airline pricing

Candorville, one of the fine comics that we run here in the Register Star, took a swipe at airlines Sunday:
Thoughts? I understand why people are irked at all the “nickel and diming” but personally, I prefer having the option of avoiding those fees than having to pay more in my base fare. When taking weekend trips, I avoid checking bag. Now I’ll be less likely to order a drink. Hey, at least I have a choice.

Lemont’s not great with money, don’t forget (hence all the strips about his many credit cards). He’d probably rather pay more in base fare than feel like he’s getting nickled and dimed.

Interesting. I don’t read the comic regularly, so I didn’t get that. Also, it seems like the author is taking a common stand that others have taken too.
