By doing that, every voter has an equal chance to vote for the person of their choice. However, the politicians wouldn't like that because campaigning would be a nightmare for them. I've often thought that we should have one month for primary campaigns. We have radio, T.V. the internet, and the print media to report the candidates positions. If all the candidates were asked the same questions, we would have a better idea of where they stand on the issues. After the one month primary campaign, we could have a national primary. Another month could be devoted to to campaigning for the national election and then have the vote. I would also like to see public campaign funding and no private contributions would be allowed.
