Comments on: Reasons Why I Could Be A Good Candidate

The Register Star has brought together a group of people from all over the Rock River Valley to serve on our Election 2008 Voters' Panel. These men and women are Republicans, Democrats, Independents and Green party members. Some are high school students. Some are retired. And some fall in between those two age groups. They all share this: The upcoming election is important and voters do have voices. They'll share them in this blog.

Six times in one year? Did I read that right? Was it last year or any of the last 7 years? In the humble opinion of an Independent, George Bush could turn even the strongest of Conservative Republicans into Liberals. Actually, I think he has given his aprroval rating has hovered around, mostly below, 30 percent.
I'm wondering where the Liberal media was when Bill Clinton was impeached. They certainly didn't come to his defence. It was one of the most liberal of the news media, the New York Times that went after Governor Spitzer. They broke the story. The media in all it's forms plays to the specatular regardless of political affiliation. Since Woodward and Bernstein, the vast majority of reporters and editors in all mediums fancy themselves as investigative reporters and act accordingly.

You can run for anything and I'll vote for you. Some suggestions regarding possible opponents. John McCain because, despite his avowed maverick tendencies, he is in George Bush's hip pocket. We don't need another 4 years of a failed presidency.
Barak Obama, because he doesn't know enough about our federal government after only 4 years. Still not sure who's side he's on.
Hillary Clinton, because she was against the war and voted for it. Living in the White House doesn't qualify her to be Commander in Chief.
Dick Durbin for his unwaivering support to keep illegal aliens in a form of servitude by allowing them into the country unabated.
Also, he voted to keep earmarks. You know, those things whereby elected representatives buy our votes with our money.
Don Manzullo who is so proud of his ties to Communist China and to business and NEVER on the side of the working men and women.
Chuck Jefferson, who didn't want to vote agains a major contributor, ComEd or for his constituents when it came time to vote on the rate freeze extension. Instead, he took the cowards way out and vote present hoping that we, the people, wouldn't know it was the same as voting against it because only "Aye" votes are counted.
So, you see, you have plenty of choices. Pick one and let me know which one so I can support your candadacy.
