Why We Vote
The Register Star has brought together a group of people from all over the Rock River Valley to serve on our Election 2008 Voters’ Panel. These men and women are Republicans, Democrats, Independents and Green party members. Some are high school students. Some are retired. And some fall in between those two age groups. They all share this: The upcoming election is important and voters do have voices. They’ll share them in this blog.

Bumper Stickers

Do you like to read bumper stickers? I enjoy Doug Goodman’s outdoor related bumper stickers in his column and it’s fun to read what is on other cars. Here are the three that are on our car:

“20 January 2009 The end of an error”

“If you’re not outraged you’re not paying attention”

“Bill of Rights - Constitution….Canceled until further notice”

Hope you enjoy ‘em.

Opps, I erred…Doug Goodman does license plates…not bumper stickers.

One of my favorites is one of the American Flag, and the words:

“These colors don’t run… the world”

Sometimes there are bumper stickers that are not the best reading material while you are behind the vehicle and have children who can read. On the other hand there are other stickers that make you ponder about life and encourage you to do good. A kind word of encouragement it is always welcome!
