The “No value” pride

What is the price tag that we Ameri cans would put on our self pride and national pride? Most of us wouldn’t sell either for any amount of money. Yet New Hampshire has not only decided to sell both but they’ve put a price tag on it. Lower gasoline prices and lower fuel oil prices are the modern day 20 pieces of silver that New Hampshire has settled on to sell their and our nations pride. Shame on you for even considering doing business with the Venezuelan anti American despot. I would rather walk than give Hugo Chavez any of my money that would allow him to continue his attacks on my country. Some things are more important than my personal comfort. Things like my country.

Are you serious? We are lucky other countries are even choosing to do trade with us at this point. I\’m not going to go into a big speech over the bullshit you spewed, but know that your pride comes out of absolute ignorance. Of course we need to lower our dependence on foreign goods, but nobody is getting rid of their \"pride\" (which is a totally bogus term today, politically speaking). Sure, America will be on top again as long as you keep sitting around drinking Coors Light and putting pathetic \"American Pride\" stickers on your car. America is a beautiful and fantastic country, but don\’t lose your sense of reality. The 800-900 people who own this country don\’t give a shit about where the oil comes from. They just want the fat pocket that comes with it. The government will do anything for the cash, even if that means getting oil from a country that hates us. They don\’t care for me, they don\’t care for you.

Well get used to the concept of selling out America! Did not our future first lady say she was ashamed of this country! Hey as long as we get the first black man in office that is all that mattters. Screw everyone who thinks otherwise.

Irrelevant….. I wasn’t addressing my comments to the oil companies. I was addressing them to the state politicians in New Hampshire and only on the one issue. I don’t drink and there are no stickers on my car. I’m not sure where you’re coming from, but I don’t think it’s bogus to have pride in my country or to care what happens to it. Someone has to care and someone has to speak out and do something.
I express my opinions because I want people to get off their fat duffs and stop being door mats to those who are supposed to represent us and don’t. Nothing will ever get done if we all have your fatalistic attitude.
I do not want Michelle Obama or Cindy McCain to be my first lady. I don’t like either candidate and am hoping that someone I can vote for comes out of the woodwork before the generaL election. Instead of criticizing someone who wants to change things, speak up and get energized. DO something don’t just sit back and snipe at those who are trying.
