We do take everything into consideration, but there's only so much space to make our case. At least two editorial board members agreed with you on the Wait-Tuite race, but Mr. Tuite's failure to even acknowledge than Illinois had a pension problem and his response to why he decided to go negative with his ads ("he started it") turned others off. As to Durbin, we do think it 's important that he knows Rockford and our issues. Illinoisans send more to Washington than we get back, so we do think it's important that local projects get federal funding. Dr. Sauerberg was a good candidate and as we said in the editorial, we'd especially like to see his health-care plan explored. Good comments, Don.
