Well, as you can see from this photo from Twitch.com, he’s heading in a completely different collection in his upcoming movie, a remake of the 1980 slasher movie “Maniac”…
The original “Maniac” is one of the most notorious of the 1980s slasher movies, plumbing depths that “Friday the 13th” and “Halloween” never even approach. (The “Maniac” Blu-ray actually has a bonus feature of several TV commenters — including Gene Siskel — railing against the movie.) It’ll be interesting to see how Wood brings this creepy killer character to life. Word is, the film will be shot mostly from the killer’s POV.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Wood has shown his more violent side on screen. In “Sin City,” he had a memorable (if small) part as Kevin, a silent killer who looked like this…
Maybe spending all that time with the ring did more damage than we originally thought…
